obtenidos con el gnomon el pasado 24 de junio, ya que pudimos entrecruzar los datos con nuestra escuela asociada, en la ciudad de Corrientes.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;El valor obtenido fue de &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight: bold;font-size:180%;" &gt;6351,752+/-2,999 km&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;. Este valor difiere del aceptado para el radio ecuatorial de la Tierra en menos de 30 km. Lo organiza el Departamento de Física de la FCEN (UBA) y participan escuelas de todo el país. El proyecto consiste en comparar mediciones solares obtenidas cerca del solsticio de invierno y durante el mediodía solar, para hacer una estimación del radio terrestre. Luego con todas las mediciones obtenidas se hará una estadística.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;Acá nos ven mientras tomamos algunas mediciones. Lamentablemente el clima no estuvo ayudando así que recién pudimos hacerlas ayer. Por suerte con el ratito de sol que hubo nos bastó para hacer una buena medición, ya que según anduvimos pispeando, nos dió similar a la obtenida por un colegio que está a 20 cuadras.&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Veremos hasta el sábado que viene qué sucede, si podemos hacer alguna medición extra y mejorar nuestra precisión, o si nos deberemos contentar con Se congelará antes el agua del vaso A.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Se congela antes el vaso B (el de agua a 100 ºC) que el vaso A (a 40º)&lt;/strong&gt;, por lo que es &lt;strong&gt;falso&lt;/strong&gt;.  &lt;a name="more"&gt;&lt;/a&gt;   &lt;p&gt;La respuesta de qué-vaso-se-congela-antes es un ejemplo de comportamiento no lineal, que depende de varios factores, y que dependiendo del rango de temperaturas del que hablemos, dará una u otra solución. En este rango de temperaturas domina el efecto Mpemba, que hace que se congele antes el agua del vaso con el agua más caliente. El efecto debe su nombre a un estudiante tanzano de Escuela Secundaria, que se fijó en que &lt;strong&gt;la mezcla para helados se congelaba antes si se metía caliente y no fría&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;   &lt;p&gt;En nuestro caso, como ya han indicado nuestros lectores, las causas determinantes son:&lt;/p&gt;   &lt;p&gt;1) el agua del vaso B se evapora más rápidamente y se va enfriando hasta alcanzar un equilibrio con el vaso A a una temperatura menor de 40ºC. Sin embargo no es tan fácil decidirse. La opción más simple, claro, es salir con todos los candidatos a la vez; pero es complicado y además sabemos que eso no se hace, jajaja. Supongamos ahora que nuestras intenciones son honorables y sólo queremos un novio o novia por vez, pero nos paraliza el temor a elegir la persona incorrecta y arrepentirnos después.&lt;br /&gt;Hay un método matemático llamado promedios ponderados o promedios pesados, que no sólo promedia los valores a promediar sino su importancia con respecto a los demás valores. Ejemplo: el otro día hicimos un problema en clase, donde un señor caminaba media hora con velocidad de 6 km/h y después una hora y media con velocidad de 4 km/h, resultando una velocidad media de 4,5 km/h. Quiere decir que la cuenta de algún modo "registra" que la velocidad de 4 km/h es más importante en el promedio ya que la tiene por más tiempo, y dá un valor más cercano a 4 que a 5 (el promedio directo). Bueno, esa es más o menos la idea.&lt;br /&gt;La idea fue planteada hace muchos años por el libro "Bueno, y qué?" del matemático soviético Y. Jurguin (Editorial Mir, Moscú) y retomada en la revista "Juegos" a fines de los años 80. Hoy yo les simplifico la vida proporcionándoles una planillita de Excel hecha por mí, donde sólo tienen que hacer lo siguiente:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Elegir 5 candidatos posibles (o menos).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Para el candidato A, ponerle puntajes en cada una de las categorías, del 1 al 10. (se pueden cambiar las categorías, las que pongo son las que figuran originalmente en el artículo, pero se pueden cambiar por otras)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Hacer lo mismo para los candidatos B, C, D, E.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;En la columna "coeficiente ponderal de la categoría", ordenar las categorías de la que consideres más importante a la menos importante, del 10 al 1. Por ejemplo si lo que más te importa es la apariencia física, a esa le ponés 10, a la segunda más importante le ponés 9, y así hasta la que consideres menos importante, a la que le vas a poner un 1.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Listo! Fijate abajo de cada candidato los resultados finales. Generalmente se cree que la mano no siente el calor de la tetera con agua hirviendo&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; porque parte considerable se consume para continuar la ebullición. El calor necesario para la&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; ebullición se toma de las paredes del recipiente, en particular, de su fondo, debido a lo cual&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; desciende la temperatura de este último. Cuando cesa la ebullición, el fondo deja de transmitir su&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; calor al agua, y la mano empieza a sentir calor.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Esta explicación es errónea, pues no aclara por qué las paredes laterales queman más que el&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; fondo; además, no considera el hecho de que a consecuencia de la evaporación el fondo de la&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; tetera no puede tener una temperatura menor que el agua contenida en ella; en este caso la&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; temperatura del agua es de unos 100 °C, o sea, es suficiente para quemar la mano.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;La causa real de este fenómeno consiste en lo siguiente: la humedad (el sudor) de la palma de la&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; mano entra en contacto con el fondo de la tetera, pasando al llamado «estado esferoidal»; en un&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt; primer instante después de retirar la vasija del hornillo, el fondo tiene calor suficiente para ello.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;Mas, cuando su temperatura está por debajo de 150 °C, ya no hay humedad que se encuentre en&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span
